Learn More About Integrity Screening Plus LLC

Have a pool enclosure-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • What brand of screen do you install?

We exclusively use Phifer Screen products. This is truly the best screen manufacturer. Their screens not only last the longest, but rarely have any flaws, which means fewer rescreening repairs for you.

  • When rescreening a pool enclosure, is each panel screened individually?

Yes, each opening or panel on the pool enclosure/cage is screened individually to ensure tightness over time. This method of rescreening includes work done on the roof.

  • Does changing the old rusted fasteners to new stainless steel create metal on metal corrosion?

We use Marine Grade 304 Ultra Coated Stainless Steel fasteners for all of our replacements. This is the same type of material used on water vessels, as they do not allow any corrosion, even in saltwater. Including new fasteners in your pool cage repair will take your screen to the next level.

  • What is the difference between 18/14 Standard Screen and 20/20 No-See-Um Screen?

If you cut a 1" by 1" square out of each screen, you will be able to count the difference. A Standard Screen will have 18 fiberglass strands by 14 fiberglass strands per square inch. A sample of 20/20 No-See-Um will have 20 fiberglass strands by 20 fiberglass strands.

The 20/20 No-See-Um has more material per square inch than a Standard Screen, which provides a tighter weave to keep out even the smallest of bugs. If you're bothered by  bugs inside of your pool enclosure, rescreening with 20/20 may be a great option.

  • What is the typical life expectancy of a new screen?

Screen life expectancy can vary widely and is primarily dependent upon sun exposure. Roof screens will need rescreening more frequently than wall screens, as they receive the most direct sunlight each day. That being said, you can expect your roof screen to last at least 10 years!

  • Do you provide a warranty?

Yes, we offer a three-year craftsmanship warranty which includes, but is not limited to:

Manufacturer defects such as screen weave flaws

-- Typically this is corrected as rescreening takes place

    - Flaws in the rubber spline securing the screen to the aluminum extrusions

    - Door closer kits malfunctioning

We are happy to discuss our warranty with you before starting work on your screen. You will also be provided with a written copy of our warranty.

  • Can you paint or change the color of existing pool enclosures?

Yes! Refurbishing older pool enclosures and cages is one of our specialties. Our team has extensive experience reviving these structures to look almost new again. The best part for you is that it can be done at a fraction of the cost of tearing down and building new.

Some key points about our repairing services:

    - The proper way to paint aluminum enclosures is to spray with specialized paint that will adhere directly to the metal

    - Since we spray the paint on (not to be confused with spray paint), the screen has to be removed first

    - Replacing old, rusted fasteners with new, stainless steel ones is typically a requirement of our refurbishment services

    - We primarily use Benjamin Moore, PPG, and Sherwin Williams, but some neighborhoods/HOAs require certain brands and paint codes

-- We most likely already have this on file, but this may be something we need to obtain before starting work

-- Our free estimates automatically include our company insurance documents and licensures so that you can submit proper info to your HOA right away

    - Existing doors will always be replaced unless they are in good condition

-- For existing doors that are in good condition, we will add updated hardware after painting and include a bug sweep at the bottom on both the inside and outside

Repainting an existing pool enclosure typically takes anywhere from three to five days, depending on the size of the structure and weather. This process always includes any necessary structural repairs and will be finished with brand new screens. After completion, everything about your existing pool cage will be updated, save for the aluminum structure itself.

  • Is there a stronger screen option than the typical fiberglass?

Yes, we can install Phifer Tuff Screen, which is made of polyester fibers as opposed to fiberglass. Also known as Poly Screen, this is a great option for homes located on golf courses or in high wind areas, as it is 10-times stronger than the standard screen.

We offer competitive square foot pricing based on which screen option you select. We also carry samples on each truck to show you the differences during your consultation. No matter what material you choose, our team provides superior rescreening, refurbishment, and repair. Call us today!
